WHAT IS THE ATTIRE?
Formal attire is requested. For men, a suit, and for women, a floor-length dress, cocktail dress or a pantsuit within a pastel color palette (ex: lavender, pale yellow, peach, blush, celery). Our bridesmaids will be in sky blue.
HOW DO I GET TO THE VENUE?
While parking is available on site, we do have shuttles booked for your convenience. The shuttle schedule is as follows:
3:00pm - Pick up from The Delamar Resort
3:00pm - Pick up from The Bayshore Resort
3:30pm - Pick up from Suttons Bay Marina
(corner of Front St. & Adams St.)
Shuttles will return to the venue at 9:00pm and depart for the above locations at 9:00pm, 10:00pm and 11:00pm. The wedding reception will end at 10:00, with a fun surprise for those who want to keep the party going with us until 11:00pm.
Ridesharing and taxis are not readily available in Northern Michigan, so this will NOT be an option.
If you've rented a vehicle and would prefer to drive to the venue, parking is available at our venue. Any vehicles left overnight must be picked up by 12:00pm on Sunday May 18, 2025.
CAN I BRING A DATE?
If your invitation is addressed to you "and Guest" or an individual is named, yes! Otherwise, we unfortunately cannot accommodate a plus one due to venue limitations.
ARE CHILDREN INVITED?
We love little ones (seriously, Kelsea is applying to Internal Medicine-Pediatrics for residency!), but we ask that you take the opportunity to make our wedding a date night and focus on the two of you. Due to limited capacity, children are only invited if named on the invitation. We thank you in advance for making alternate childcare arrangements!
WHEN IS THE RSVP DEADLINE?
The RSVP page on this website will be activated once our wedding invites are officially in the mail. We kindly request that you respond no later than April 1, 2025. If you do not RSVP by this deadline, we will assume that you are not able to celebrate with us.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CANNOT ATTEND?
If you know in advance that you will not be able to join us, please inform our absolute dream of a wedding planner, Meaghan Kenny (meaghan@foxandfernevents.com), as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly. Otherwise, please RSVP "no" by April 1, 2025. Your presence will be greatly missed!
WHAT IF I HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES OR DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?
Please let us know if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions when you submit your RSVP. We will have gluten free options available.
HOW EARLY CAN I ARRIVE TO THE VENUE?
With a ceremony time of 4:00pm, if Kelsea answered this, she'd say 3:50pm. If Jay answered this, he'd say 2:30pm. Since we know Kelsea is not the best at sticking to a timeline, we will settle on 3:00pm being the earliest we would like guests to arrive to the venue.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
Temperatures in Northern Michigan in May typically range from 60-72 degrees. There is generally a mild breeze, especially since we will be on the Leelanau Peninsula, so you may want a light jacket once the sun sets as this is primarily an outdoor event.
IF I HAVE A QUESTION THE DAY OF THE WEDDING, WHO CAN I CONTACT?
If you have looked through our site and the answer is not provided, please reach out to our wedding planner, Meaghan Kenny at 231-944-9719. We will not be reachable by phone on our day and ask that all guests respect this.
CAN WE TAKE PICTURES WITH OUR PHONES OR CAMERAS DURING THE CEREMONY?
In short, no. We ask that all cell phones are silenced and in your pocket or purse during the ceremony. Our photographer, the lovely Abbey Moore, will do a phenomenal job capturing our day, and we ask that all of our guests respect Abbey by allowing her to do her job in its entirety. Our officiant will be reminding everyone of this prior to the start of the ceremony.
WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?
Why of course!
If you are driving to the venue, we ask that you drink responsibly and have a designated driver. If needed, you may leave your car overnight at the venue.
